About Artist

 Carol Jones is best known for her vibrant colors, intensity and energy in her paintings. Various textures can be found, she uses both brushes and palette knife for smooth and bold strokes. Every painting will have a life of it’s own!       

Carol’s artistic interests has been passionate about creating since early childhood. As the youngest daughter of six children; supplies were hard to come by. Which led Carol to use anything and everything to create with. Carol began painting in oils at 14 and sold her first painting at 16 at a show in Lewisville, Texas.      

While pursing a livelihood in technology,  Carol would escape her busy work life by painting. Through 30 years of work life and upon retiring, Carol's work has been represented in five art galleries in the DFW Metroplex. Since retiring from corporate America, Carol has submerged herself into redefining her passion of painting to a greater degree.       

Carol has always been driven to create. As a self-taught artist, Carol chooses to share her God given gift to others. It is meant to be shared with others so others can see a glimpse of His beauty and truth in the world.  Painting awakens my spirit and can be done just about anywhere!   

What makes Carol's art different is her passion to make every painting unique and different.  Whether you are looking for studio work, or live painting at your next event, no painting will be the same!   

Carol paints in both brush, and palette knife and sometimes both in her painting. She loves the smoothness from a brush and also the bold texture from a palette knife.  My primary medium is oils!  I use acrylics, and watercolors at times. Each medium manifests in its own individual style.

Painting is a gift God has created me to do!  It is part of who I am!  It gives me great joy to know I have added value to others lives. I am grateful for their appreciation of my work and to know a part of me will always live in my paintings and be part of their lives. I am never short of things to paint, subject matter is wherever we go.  

Carol has painted at numerous events, from spiritual, fund-raising charity events, conferences and seminars, with her largest audience of 1000.  Carol's  goal is to stir emotions and draw viewers into a journey with her.  There is a deeper meaning of life and who we are.  What stirs in your heart?
